Coupled 8-Input 8-Output with Transistors

The CIO T8 is an Input-Output module packed on a Single EUROPE Size pcb, for use with the ABACO® Industrial BUS.

The board comprises 8 Output lines wired to transistors and 8 Optoisolator-Coupled input lines of which the operation is displayed by LEDs mounted to the front part.

Typical applications are those calling for a number of logic inputs and outputs in modular units of 8.

This readily solves the problem of interfacing with a field, and optimizes costs at the same time.

The layout of the indicator LEDs, the adoption of a D connector and convenient software control combine to facilitate the use of the board enormously.

The option exists of fitting a special front panel, in aluminium, for 3HE or 4TE Rack.

This affords further screening and a secure anchorage by means of two relative screws.

Removal is facilitated by the inclusion of a convenient front handle.

• 8 output lines buffered to transistor, optocoupled, in open collector, with diode protection against inductive loads, 45 Vdc 3 A, operation indicated by LEDs
• 8 optoisolated NPN input lines, with indicator LEDs; nominal voltage between +12 and +24 Vdc, selected on board
• Input lines with Greek-pi-filter
• Single high density 26-pin D connector
• Circuitry for displaying enabled status of output port
• Standard type address: 256 bytes of which one only busy; 8-bit BUS
• Option of mounting special front panel for 3HE or 4TE rack
• Single power supply voltage:
  • +5 Vdc, 130 mA (outputs inactive)
  • +5 Vdc, 200 mA (outputs active)
