RCV 420

Receiver Current Voltage 4÷20 mA

RCV 420 is a peripheral card that belong to the wide family of professional boards for Industrial ABACO® BUS.

RCV 420 is a typical analog conversion card that gets a current input signal, in the 4÷20 mA range, and returns a proportional galvanically insulated voltage signal in the 0÷5V or 0÷2,5V range.

It includes also a multiplexer section based on Reed Relays very fast and with very low contact resistance. If it is necessary are moreover available the Reed relays with mercury wetted contacts.

A normalized 10 pins connector allows the connections of many multiplexer cards as MRR 16 and MSS 16.

The analog input signals are connected to a proper low profile connector while the single output analog signal is connected to normalized A/D connectors. So RCV 420 can be connected to any grifo® cards as LAD 02, LAD 12, LAD 13, LAD 15, GPC® 188F, GPC® 550, GPC® 150, GPC® 883, etc.

A series of LEDs shows the card status and let the user perform a visual check of the currently selected input channel.

It is really remarkable an original addressing tecnique used on the card, that joins the management of all the multiplexer cards (MRR 16, RCV 420, MSS 16) installed on the BUS, into a single address.

Moreover to avoid any possible conflict on the input channels when a write operation is performed on the mapping address the selected line is selected and the previously selected line is automatically deselected.

For each analog input lines are used two Normally Open contacts allowing multiplexer of different current signals. So each input signal is isolated by the other channels and the user can connect different current transmitters mantaining a total separation.
