The LAD 12 is an advantageously high precision and low cost analog digital conversion module of the ABACO® family of industrial circuit boards.

The board is composed of two independent 12-bit double ramp ADC sections giving a total 16 analog inputs with 2.048 V range and conversion time of 80 msec.

Each section converts one of two sets of 8 input lines, carried by two relative standard ABACO® 20-way connectors for analog signals.

An LAD 12 board is the ideal component for all applications where the requirement is for accurate conversion, acquisition of a high number of signals, and low cost.

Among typical applications are those of interfacing with a variety of transducers, and allowing the acquisition of temperatures, by way of appropriate signal conditioning boards APT 100, JKT 07, etc.

Two LEDs mounted to the front can be piloted by software to indicate status or activity.

Two TTL input lines are used advantageously, for example, to effect conversions commanded by a logic level generated from the field.

The option exists of fitting a special front panel in aluminium, 3HE, 4TE. This affords further screening and a secure anchorage by means of two relative screws. Removal is facilitated by the inclusion of a convenient front handle.
