The OBI 01 ( Opto coupled BLOCK Input NPN ) is a BLOCK type module designed to acquire and visualize 16 optocoupled inputs, NPN type, and to convert them in as many TTL digital lines,that came out from the module.
The outputs and power supply of TTL section are connected to a standard 20 pins I/O ABACO® connector allowing to interface the several grifo® cards, provided of at least 16 TTL input lines, like GPC® 150, GPC® 552, GPC® 15R, GPC® 188F, PIO 01, IPC 52, GPC® 154, GPC® 884, GPC® 323, GPC® 183, etc. The module connection with these cards is directly performed with a 20 wires flat cable, as the FLT 20+20 or FLT 26+20 accessories.
The 16 optocoupled inputs are available on a 20 pins quick release screw terminal connector, that allows a prompt interface to the external signals. Through this same connector it is also possible to supply the input optocouplers: a proper on board section generates this supply voltage by using the standard voltages available in the electric panels. When this voltage is supplied, the NPN inputs can be connected even to simple and inexpensive clean contacts as relays, push buttons, selector switches, proximity, limit switches, allarms, etc.
The board features coloured LEDs that provide the User a visual feed back about the status of the 16 signals of the OBI 01 module and optocoupler power supply voltage.
OBI 01 is delivered with a plastic mount for DIN 46277-1 and DIN 46277-3 rails and it doesn't require any software management.

• - +24 Vdc NPN inputs, that can be connected to each industrial systems with this standard and to simple clean contacts.
• - Power supply section that can be used to generate the nominal voltage for optocoupled inputs, starting from a +24 Vdc or 18÷24 Vac input voltage.
• - One 20 pins quick release screw terminal connectors, for NPN inputs and optocoupler supply.
• - One 20 pins low profile connector with normalized I/O ABACO® pin out, for the 16 TTL signal and relative +5 Vdc power supply voltage.
• - 1 LED that shows optocoupler inputs power supply status.
• - 16 LEDs that show the optocoupled inputs status.
• - Evident area for user identification code.
• - Consumption on +5 Vdc of TTL section= 35 mA.
