GPC® 324 English Tech. Manual PDF format.
Ver. 5.20 - Rel. 05 July 2000.
The GPC® 324 belongs to the CPUs 4 Serie 100x50 mm. Size. It is a powerful control Low-Cost module capable of operating in stand-alone mode or as an intelligent peripheral, and/or remoted, in a wider telecontrol or aquisition network.
The GPC® 324 module is secured in a plastic mount for connection to Omega rails DIN 46277-1 and DIN 46277-2, thereby dispensing with the need of a rack and allowing a ess costly mounting direct to the electrical control panel. Thanks to this small size, the GPC® 324 put into the same plastic rails that contains the Peipheral I/O, i.e ZBR 84, forming in this way an unique BLOCK element. Another application of this GPC® 324 is that when it is used as CPU it can be mounted in Piggy-Back, on the peripheral cards of the end user.
The most interesting characteristic of GPC® 324 module is that it can be equipped with a wide range of µP. It is in fact possible to get it by the standard 80C32; by the fast DALLAS 80C320, by the new Atmel 89C8252. The characteristics of the GPC® 324 module remain basically the same, but its performance changes according to the built-in µP.
At present there are some developping software Tools which allow the card to be used as developping system of itself both in Asselmber and evoluted languages. Noteworthy among these are the developement Tools as the C Compilators, the FORTH and the handy BASIC 324. The latter is compatible with the widespread MCS® BASIC-52 of INTEL to which have been added new commands. Among these new ones is dutiful to mention some of those referredto to the Serial EEPROM. By implementing an 82C55, external to the board, it is possible managing Fluorescent and LCD Displays and a Matrix Keyboard. For an immediate use of this new command, KDL-224 boards are available, or if you need a finished object, there is the Operator Panel QTP 16P or QTP 24P. (See the Application Note). This Operator Panel, offered in the open frame version, bears the same aesthetic as QTP 24, but, as the local intelligence is not furnished, it is driven directly by GPC® 324, allowing a notable cost reduction.
The BASIC 324 affords truly notable debug facilities, and allows to program directly on board a EEPROM with the user program. To speed the applicative system, or to make it unreadable to intrusive eyes, the BXC51 BASIC Compiler provided with libraries that accept as source what has been generated and debugged with BASIC 324 is available.
For getting a quick prototype, cards such as SPA 03 and SPA 04 on which it is possible to mount the GPC® 324 in Piggy Back, are used. The presence on board of the Abaco® I/O BUS connector, allows to drive directly I/O cards as: ZBR 84, ZBR 168, ZBR 246, ZBR 324, ZBT 84, ZBT 168, ZBT 246, ZBT 324, and through ABB 03, ABB 05 it is possible to manage all the peripheral cards available on Abaco® BUS.

ANSI C Compiler for 8051
Develop high quality software for any 8051 in ANSI
comes with an incredible optimizing compiler, you can even write
software in ANSI C on 8051's with 1kB of
code memory! µC/51 is absolutely complete: user friendly
multi file Editor, Compiler, Assembler, Downloader, Source
Level Debugger. You will not need anything else.
Pascal compiler for 8051
The Pascal 51 is a compiler capable to generate code for the I51 family of microcontrollers, that use almost all the instructions defined in Wirth's Pascal. Thanks to his integarted developmen environment it is really simple to use and offers advantages in hardware resources management, available in the microcontrollers. Moreover objects and precompiled units can be used too.
The LadderWORK Integrated Development Enviroment (IDE)
The picture below, represents the apperance of the program LadderWORK on your computer. LadderWORK has an integrated enviroment feature, allowing you to draw schematics, compile programs and upload code to PLC always working on the same window. The integrated enviroments are composed by several parts described below.
